You called me last night on the telephone
And I was glad to hear from you 'cause I was all alone
You said, "It's snowing, it's snowing! God, I hate this weather."
Now I walk through blizzards just to get us back together

We met in the springtime at a rock-and-roll show
It was on the Bowery when it was time to go
We kissed on the subway in the middle of the night
I held your hand, you held mine, it was the best night of my life.

'Cause everyone's your friend in New York City
And everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty
The streets are paved with diamonds and there's just so much to see
But the best thing about New York City is you and me

Statue of Liberty, Staten Island Ferry, Co-op City, Katz's and Tiffany's*
Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, The Empire State where Dylan lived**
Coney Island and Times Square, Rockefeller Center
Wish I was there

You wrote me a letter just the other day
Said, "Springtime is coming soon so why don't you come to stay."
I packed my stuff, got on the bus, I can't believe it's true
I'm three days from New York City and I'm three days from you

'Cause everyone's my friend in New York City
And everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty
The streets are paved with diamonds and there's just so much to see
But the best thing about New York City is you and me

These notes are marked 'return to sender'
I'll save this letter for myself
I wish you only knew
How good it is to see you

See you.

These steps I take don't get me anywhere
I'm gettin further from myself
One thing is always true
How good it is to see you

See you.

I'm done resenting you,
You represented me so well.
And this I promise you,
How could I end up in the hands of someone else?

These notes are marked return to sender

Just a little update on my previous post, with respect to the shortcomings of the media player: I have given Panucci (http://gpodder.org/panucci/) "an audiobook and podcast player" a try. I was advised that, whilst this is not targeted at music, it is capable of gapless playback.

The SRW SGE and SFE cisco switches have a LightCLI which if your used to using a real Cisco IOS is much better than the default menu driven telnet interface!

To get to it connect via telnet or ssh, log in and press ctrl-z, at the prompt, type lcli and hey presto :)

More info on lcli is available on the lcli wiki http://lcli.wikidot.com/

Psychologist Connie Lillas uses a driving analogy to describe the three most common ways people respond when they’re overwhelmed by stress:

Just a short welcome to MagpiePants - A geek chick who I happen to adore, and Grim, a winmobi fan boy and general webdev guru (who turns my pretty dreams into a functional reality).
Hopefully they have much to offer in the way of tips and advice. Jaodo is our resident chick geek and change management guru, Lurka is our new mac Freak, we figured we should have at least one of them. _alec_ is a tech god, carnomage is super cool, rohanharry is our resident comic, and Jezrael is our fantastic UX chick. Moufassa78 is down with tech tips for Win9x/2000/XP/7/2003/WinMo, Exchange, SQL2005 maintenance... possibly others that he forgot when pimping his skills to me :P zoey vangaurd is our resident makeup master. I hope you enjoy what they have to offer.
Think you could have some tips to add, or something to say too? Feel free to contact marsie or solo.
